In 1921, the captain of the British cargo ship the SS Wandby misread his chart in the fog and wrecked on the rocks off the coast of Kennebunk, Maine. With zero casualties, the English crew found themselves stranded in the small Maine village. They were welcomed with open arms by the residents, filling their days with feasts, plays, dances and various forms of merriment until the crew members could find their way home.

Wandby Landing is a restaurant seeking to embody that same signature Kennebunk hospitality that is present over a century later.
